They are now looking for a Support Worker to provide care services in a residential setting for individuals between the ages of 18-56. So, if you want to make a life changing difference to others while taking steps to become an expert in your field, then we would like to hear from you The Role As a Support Worker, you will offer primary support to a small portfolio of service users, providing guidance and the means towards increased independence. You will assist service users with their daily activities, such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, room care, cleaning and laundry. Specifically, you will: - Assist service users to create their own person-centred care plan - Work with Social Workers, relatives, medical professionals, managers and colleagues to deliver the care plan - Monitor and report on care plan progress - Prepare an activity timetable, including appointments and events - Complete risk assessments every six months for each service user - Hold and make notes of supervision and support sessions About You To join as a Support Worker, you will need: - Experience gained within a similar support role - Basic Microsoft Office IT skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ideally, you will have experience of working with individuals with autism, but this is not essential. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, over five days. This does include weekend and evening work. Part-time applications will be considered for this role.
