Overview
My client is looking for a Contracts Manager with Welding and Fabrication experience to join their ever expanding team based in Southampton. Although not essential having some Marine background would be advantageous. The role of Contracts Manager will involve: Assist General Manager with day to day running of the business. Survey potential jobs and upcoming projects. On completion of survey generate quotations and associated paperwork for jobs/projects to customer as required. Communicating with customer, discussing requirements for jobs/projects. Distribute works to Supervisors and Workforce. Purchasing of materials, consumables and equipment required for upcoming jobs/projects. Monitor hours/materials on current jobs/projects ensuring it is kept within budget and timescale. Monitor quality of works, then reporting back to General Manager as required. Co-ordinate jobs/projects from start to completion. Closing of accounts with the customer, then supplying information to General Manager so account can be invoiced and closed. Generate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) as required, before commencing any jobs/projects. Ensure all Health and Safety expectations are being met. Be contactable 24/7 except when on annual leave.
