Overview
Infrastructure Engineer - Microsoft Server, Hyper V Marvellous opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to come in as a valued, senior figure in one of the areas leading end user organisations. It's a chance to further develop your technical skills in a large scale, enterprise environment and kick on with some great project work. You will support the deployment and management of the business's infrastructure including server and applications. You will be part of a team responsible for support, maintenance and monitoring of the infrastructure within a multi-site environment. Role/Responsibilities Management of the technical hardware infrastructure. Management of the core firm's infrastructure applications and services. Management of the security of all technical infrastructure services including all client and server. Advise on possible technical infrastructure architectures and technologies improvements. Ensure all technical and systems documentation is kept up to date. Participate in Infrastructure projects as and when required. To be lead technical contact for specified systems, assuming responsibility for the control and development of these systems. Knowledge of the Microsoft stack, Exchange, SharePoint, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Lync, SCCM Proven experience with current and emerging Information system technologies; including SAN, NAS, backup and recovery and infrastructure management. Proven experience in deploying and testing disaster recovery solutions/scenarios. Proven experience of designing, managing and supporting virtualisation technologies. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
