Overview

Do you have experience of managing a portfolio of clients at an established accountancy firm? Do you have aspirations to become a partner within the next couple of years? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager at a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Central London. Due to impressive growth and succession planning, the firm are looking to recruit someone capable and driven enough to become a future partner. Managing a portfolio of clients, this role requires someone with excellent compliance knowledge as your role will focus mainly on overseeing accounts preparation (60-70%) and managing extenal audit assignments (30-40%). Your main responsibilities will include: Working closely with, and providing support to 2 Partners Acting as main point of contact for a large portfolio of clients Delegating work to, and supervising junior accountants Planning workflow for the team, ensuring that jobs are completed on time Preparing (but mainly reviewing) year end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns Reviewing corporation tax returns Overseeing a number of audits The firm work with a broad and high profile client base across the Service Sectors, Media, Entertainment, Property and HNWI's. This role would suit someone with a strong general practice background. Perhaps you are an Audit & Accounts Manager looking to cut back on the amount of audit work that you do? To be considered for this opportunity, you must: Be ACA or ACCA qualified Have at least 6 years experience at a UK firm of chartered accountants Have experience of managing a medium / large portfolio of clients Be experienced in delegating work to, and reviewing work done by juniors Have excellent knowledge of various accountancy reporting standards (UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102, FRS 105) as well as corporation tax Ideally have recent audit experience This a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to further their career with a friendly and reputable firm.
