Overview
Reinsurance Technician City to £ 45,000 Leading City based Insurance Company have a new role for an experience Reinsurance Technician. Validation and processing of complex Assumed Treaties and Facultative Covers, checking Profit Commissions, Sliding Scales etc ensuring accuracy and continuity with cedant accounting Analysis of accounting data, assisting in quarterly management reporting and attendance at review meetings Production of monthly Terms of Trade and Premium Adjustment reports and monitoring responses Reconciliation of assumed/ceded reinsurance ledgers Raising and processing of payments/receipts onto internal systems Investigating and resolving internal and external accounting queries Monitor cash/unapplied cash, outstanding accounts and conduct effective credit control activities in maintaining unsettled balances Communicating effectively with all TRC departments, branches and stakeholders Establish and maintain effective relationships with brokers, cedant's and reinsurers to ensure business continuity Various ad-hoc projects as required Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools specifically Excel and Word. Strong understanding of Reinsurance principles, Reinsurance contracts and market practices.
