Overview
Our client is a 3 year old start-up company which provides innovative and customer-focused rewards programmes. They provide an online rewards platform that allows the customers of large corporations to collect cash rewards from thousands of retailers. Customers earn cash rewards when they spend online or use their registered debit/credit cards with these retailers. Earnings are collected into a digital wallet and can be redeemed against future purchases with the client brand - for example to reduce the cost of their insurance renewal. Current clients include MORE TH>N and Admiral, with telecoms, utilities and travel clients in the pipeline. Role description In this role you will be joining a small, fast growing company as they transition all of their backend development and system operations resources in-house. As such our client will require an experienced Systems Operations Engineer who's responsibility it will be to help set-up and maintain their continuous integration pipelines and AWS hosting systems, databases and related technologies. Key Responsibilities -Own primary responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance, development, and systems administration of the Linux and -AWS hosting platforms. -Provide the first technical point of contact for all issues pertaining to the availability, security and performance of all online machines, in both the Production and Development / QA environment. Must have skills -Good communication skills. -Previous experience working in a SysOps role. -A good knowledge of working with AWS. -Experience of CI, deployment and automation (Jenkins). Linux systems installation, config & admin. Desirable skills -Experience in a customer-facing role. -Experience in monitoring/reporting tools such as Sonar. -Security related tech experience with Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Antivirusetc. A degree in Computer Science or related subject.
