Overview

Software Engineer This is a small, innovative technology company working in the education market. who have developed a unique product called EduLink One that is proving extremely popular in schools, improving the quality and functionality of their IT services while also saving the schools a substantial amount of money. The Role: We are looking for an experienced developer to join our development team working primarily on the PHP part of the stack but with opportunities to work on other areas. We are a highly technical team with a strong focus on quality in all aspects of the business. Our infrastructure runs on our purpose-built Linux virtual appliances managed by our bespoke server management system, as a result previous experience or an interest in Linux system administration would be beneficial. Technologies that we use include AngularJS, JQuery, Cordova, Nginx, PgBouncer, PostgreSQL and .NET. Our components are built predominantly using JavaScript, CSS, SQL, PHP, C# and Ruby. In addition to the basic salary we pay twice yearly bonuses based on the performance of the company as a whole. Job Specification/Description: You will have strong software development skills, and a broad range of technical knowledge in related areas. You will be expected to be involved in technical design decisions and will need a strong focus on the details and quality. You will also be working with our support team to help to diagnose and resolve faults. Experience of the following is either essential or desirable: Essential: PHP SQL Linux HTML JavaScript CSS Desirable: AngularJS React JQuery Cordova PostgreSQL Redis C# Ruby Python Git The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, previously known as a CRB check.
