We are recruiting for a local public sector organisation and they are seeking a Business Transformation Analyst to join their Digital Services Team based in the heart of Addlestone’s regenerated town centre. This role is key in contributing to the organisations ambitious Digital Transformation Programme. Salary £29,274 - £32,485per annum The successful applicant will become part of a team committed to driving improvement through innovative ideas using the latest technology and supporting staff to access the software services. Also, they will be an advocate of digital transformation with an ability to drive up digital literacy and promote new technology and systems to inspire and lead change. MAIN DUTIES OF THE POST Work as part of the digital transformation team to identify and analyse opportunities for customer-focussed service improvement and by supporting or leading projects included in the Digital Transformation Programme. Analyse business requirements and Member needs to agree detailed functional and technical specifications and plans, drawing on input from specialist colleagues Design technical solutions, plan system integration, select necessary platforms and technologies to meet project requirements. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improvement within an existing service Gather and analyse data relating to the costs and benefits of each project as directed by the Digital Transformation Manager. Advise of the technical options available; costs and the recommended solutions to inform the development of businesses cases for the Transformation Programme. Ensure a consistent approach to the customer journey across council processes and use customer focused language in all our communication. To lead on workstreams and projects within the programme. Undertaking the direct technical design, testing, implementation and support of particular aspects and work packages. Assist the Digital Transformation Manager with stakeholder engagement and communication as appropriate Monitor the delivery from suppliers to ensure contract compliance when installing and supporting new and existing systems In the event of an incident which disrupts the organisations ability to deliver its critical functions, to undertake duties within your competencies in other departments and/or at other locations To resolve escalated Service Desk tickets submitted by Members and provide technical expertise on application issues Liaise with other service heads to identify and recommend computer related training needs for Members and keep Digital Transformation Manager fully informed of such needs Contribute to the Digital team’s responses to FOIs as appropriate Work with the other colleagues across the Digital Service team to ensure that the Service is operational throughout the working day (8.00 till 5.30) and assist colleagues in the wider Digital Services team in dealing with peaks in workload Work closely with colleagues in the Project Management Office and external independent assurance specialists to ensure well-controlled compliance with the necessary decision gates relative to project size/risk/cost. The role will be working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, so it is important that the successful applicant is well organised and resilient; can remain calm, focussed and professional at all times. The ideal candidate would preferably have some public sector experience as well as a proven track record in delivering transformational change through discovering, evaluating, improving and leading the adoption of systems and technology. This is a highly visible role in a dynamic transformation team working with stakeholders of all levels, so strong communications skills are key with an ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
