You will be trained to operate machinery as required, but most of the preparation and finishing work will be carried out by hand. Client Details A leading meat producer. Description My client are recruiting for their site in Inverurie for a General Operative. This will be on a fixed term contract initially for 3 months but may be extended if necessary. Working hours will be Monday - Friday 6 am - 2.30 pm with overtime as and when required which may include Saturday working. Working within an established diverse team, you will be responsible for producing a wide variety of products including minced steak, sausages, burgers, sausage rolls and en-routes, all to our exacting high standards. You will be trained to operate machinery as required, but most of the preparation and finishing work will be carried out by hand. You will also be required to pack and move finished pallets of products, as well as adhering to strict food hygiene standards. This work will involve working in a chilled environment wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) which will be provided. Profile As a food production service, it is vital that we remain open. However, we require to adhere to the guidance set down by the government. In view of this, applications will ONLY be progressed from individuals who will be able to adhere to the recognised government social distancing advice, ie travelling to work by car or motorbike alone, or be able to walk to work at Inverurie. A good eye for detail, the ability to pick up instructions quickly and accuracy is the most important. Job Offer £8.67 per hour
