Social Worker - Integrated Front Door Salary: £35,563 - £44,251 including 20% unsocial hours supplement Date Closes: 12/04/2020 Ref Number: CS01746 Working Pattern: Permanent Full Time Location: Trowbridge Summary We are looking for bright, innovative people to join us on our journey to an “outstanding” Ofsted rating and have an opportunity for social workers to join our innovative Integrated Front Door Services at an exciting time This newly developed service launched in January 2020 and is Wiltshire’s approach to enhancing its out of hours support for families and children, with an ethos to provide a seamless transition to a specialist full out of hours service for children. LIVE∙ WORK ∙CARE About the role The role lends itself to working with daytime services and area teams to provide a consistent approach and puts you at the front line of delivery in Wiltshire It is different in that it allows for direct contact with children, without being case holding. Much of your time will be spent on the telephone, with emergency visits as needed. About you You will thrive on creative thinking and problem solving and enjoy working autonomously. You will possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to identify risk and prioritise accordingly whilst remaining calm and know when to escalate concerns to your team leader. You will be required to hold a Social Work England registration and a recognised social worker qualification. Updated knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with and the safeguarding of children. You will be a part of a seven-week rolling rota across day times, evenings and weekends providing the opportunity for you to gain the experience in both our Multi Agency Safeguarding Team and Emergency Duty Service. A 20% unsocial hours supplement payment is included in the salary indicated. All market supplement payments are subject to review on an annual basis.
