Overview
Our client are a very successful ecommerce business. About the role You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive and high-performing team of web development, user experience, infrastructure, and IT service specialists. The development process is based on the .NET platform with VB.NET and C# being the most widely used languages. You’ll be hands-on and enthusiastic about bringing new technology and innovation to the team through the sharing of development practices, ideas and experience. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and problem solving, and will take a positive, proactive approach to your work. Requirements include: Maintain and improve the company’s UK & European websites across all devices Support the roll out and deployment of enhancements and new technologies to the production environment Develop and build upon the existing bespoke applications within the company Develop using a broad range of languages, tools and technology Work closely with various departments and stakeholders to deliver requirements Architect solutions and develop software that adheres to development best practices Essential skills Proven experience of e-commerce website development Excellent .NET development skills, in particular VB.NET Experience using Microsoft TFS & Visual Studio SQL Server & SSIS JavaScript The ability to work well in a team as well as independently on individual projects Attention to detail, quality, and best practices Ability to develop technical solutions to solve complex problems Desired but non-essential skills C# Continuous integration and deployment Knowledge of testing automation (e.g. Selenium) API integration Experience working in an Agile environment Electronic payments integration (e.g. Cards, PayPal, Amazon, Mobile) PCI data security standards Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) experience Excellent package offered to the successful candidate.
