Overview
Experienced Car Dealership Sales Manager - Major Car Franchise - Cardiff Salary indicator: OTE £60k, split between basic and commission with the division to be agreed with the successful candidate. A comprehensive benefits package and quality car is also included Our client, a privately owned, well respected major car brand motor dealership group is looking for a professional Sales Manager to lead the sales department of their dealership in Cardiff. The preferred candidate will already have experience in a similar role as they will be expected to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will actively manage a team of salespeople whilst simultaneously delivering exceptional levels of customer service, achieving sales targets and delivering budgets. The importance of this appointment means that solid, previous experience within car sales management is ESSENTIAL for this role. Role Main Duties Include: • Drive sales and financial targets • Develop a successful sales team through effective coaching and performance management • Generate sales plans and budgets to include new/used vehicles • Deliver exceptional customer service • Work with the Group and Brand managers to formulate policies and procedures to increase sales of new/used vehicles • To help the retailer achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency and cost control • Communicate and interact with other departments within the business to determine how sales and profit performance improvements can be made • Manage the stock in line with Retailer and Brand requirements • Maintain a safe working environment Essential requirements • Ability to achieve manufacturer targets • The ability to demonstrate a highly developed sales ability • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with drive and enthusiasm • Focus on achieving goals and the ability to demonstrate high achievements • Experience within a similar role • Committed to customer and process excellence We need a sales leader rather than a boss so a significant salary and benefits package, plus excellent career escalation opportunities will be available to the right candidate.
