Overview
Our Client, a large independent firm of Chartered Accountants, are looking for an Accounts Senior to join their team in Southampton. The role will involve being responsible for dealing with all aspects of accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients, with turnovers ranging from £5 million to £250 million, which mainly include SMEs, entrepreneurial owner managed businesses and some not-for profit, pension and residential housing clients. Key Duties: • Prepare and input client transactions into computerised ledger system • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients • Visiting client offices to undertake onsite accounting needs • Attend to VAT Registrations • Prepare quarterly VAT/EC Sales list returns from financial information supplied by client. • Preparation of annual financial statements, including statutory accounts, partnership accounts and sole trader accounts for tax purposes You will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA, although study assistance will be considered if required and you will have at least 2-3 years accounts experience within practice. A good working knowledge of various accounting/bookkeeping systems and Excel would also be beneficial.
