Overview
The Business Development Manager would be responsible for accessing funding that is currently not being pursued by the Charity. The role would have a portfolio of prospects and donors, focusing specifically on family trusts, corporate trusts, strategic trusts and programme delivery through strategic partnerships. They would be responsible for developing assets and knowledge management of the tools that the team as a whole can use, and identifying immediate and long term funding priorities and needs. This will include developing proposals and tools for the above that can be used by the team as a whole. Demonstrate great research skills, with demonstrable success Approach new funders and manage all aspects of bid development and grant management Develop assets for the Philanthropy and Partnership team to deploy Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of the funding market Build strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation Writing compelling bids and cases for support Working with programme, finance and planning teams to identify funding priorities and needs Securing income from high value funders Developing high value pipelines and donor recognition and stewardship plans
