Overview
Our client based in Enfield are currently recruiting a Temporary Senior Gardener to join their team, the successful candidate will work 07:30am - 15:00pm. Duties to include but not limited to: Drive and/or operate a range of parks vehicles and /or machinery up to C1 or 7.5 ton, including effective management of the assigned fleet and equipment. This requires the post holder to liaise with Fleet Services on maintenance and repair and ensure effective utilisation of the fleet. Ensure staff assigned and others within the wider teams are motivated to achieve targets within a customer focused and professional service as required by the staff competency framework. Line management of assigned operatives to ensure best operational practice, effective learning of assigned staff, and health and safety is achieved at all times. Adopt and activity promote effective and professional day to day management of operatives, including when required implementation of first stage capability and or disciplinary procedures. To ensure effective security of depots, materials and equipment assigned to the role. Ensure the diversion of waste away from disposal by effective recycling, and minimisation as agreed by the line manager. Support the wider street scene and parks team in the preparation of reports and analysis of data including play area inspections, task tickets and general reports.
