Overview
There is an immediate need for a School Finance Manager at an extremely prestigious secondary school, requiring an immediate start, on a temp-perm basis. The successful candidate must have line management experience and be in possession of an enhanced DBS certificate. Duties: - Budget Management - Be responsible for all financial administration across the Federation and ensuring that all relevant financial and accounting procedures are carried out in accordance with appropriate ESFA, Local Authority (LA) and Federation financial regulations, policies and procedures. - Monitor all expenditure, orders raised, payments made and oversee receipt of goods, processing of journal entries and bank reconciliations. - Oversee and manage responses to budget queries, advising on solutions where appropriate. - Continually evaluate all finance systems to ensure they are effective and efficient. - Report on monthly expenditure to the Executive Headteacher and the respective Head of School and Training & Outreach Manager and termly to the Governing Board. - Utilise the computerised financial management system to present and interpret data and make recommendations as required. - Oversee and manage the efficient collection, reconciliation and banking of monies, including school dinner money in line with Federation financial procedures. - Maintain all financial records and accounts (including financial archives) required by the Federation Business Manager and governors and to produce and present reports and financial summaries as required. - To administer the systems for School Dinners and After School Clubs, including debtors. - To regularly and accurately invoice creditors and insure all income owed to the Federation is secured in a timely manner. - Oversee school insurance policies and submit relevant claims. - Oversee and manage the processing of orders and services ensuring best value. Staff management: The site team The LRO (reprographics and display) The general administration of the school including admissions, reception, exams, cover, trips, finance, partially attendance and medical needs & first aid administration You would also be the main point of call for the cleaning and catering contractors and oversee KPIs for them
