Overview
My South Essex based client is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of financial management, statutory accounts, audit and taxation matters. Reporting into and working closely alongside the Financial Controller, you will: Prepare statutory and consolidated accounts for all group entities Keep on top of changes in accounting rules, policies and legislation and tax and government rules, providing advice to senior management on the potential implications Responsibility for reviewing group VAT returns and ensuring correct VAT compliance Preparation of corporate tax computations for submission to external tax advisors Person specific: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Knowledgeable in IFRS and FRS Have a strong understanding of business taxation (Payroll tax, VAT, Corporation Tax etc.) Advanced Excel knowledge
