RGN Athona Recruitment is recruiting for a Band 5 Registered General Nurse to work for a NHS Trust based in Chingford East London, on a part-time, ad-hoc basis or full time basis. About the Rehabilitation: The inpatient stroke unit provides stroke rehabilitation to patients aged 18 and over who have been diagnosed with a new onset of stroke. The aim of rehabilitation is to improve independence, memory, and re-learn old skills and abilities which have been affected by the stroke. Rehabilitation goals will be discussed and set with the patients and/or their relatives (if appropriate) with the support from the rehabilitation team. These goals will be the focus of the therapy sessions. Therapy sessions are provided on a 1:1 basis and/or in group sessions. Patients' family/friends are encouraged to be as involved as possible with the rehabilitation. Agency nurses are not expected to deal with the more complex needs of patients, as these tasks would be carried out by a member of the Trust's permanent staff. To be considered for this role, you must: Hold a valid NMC pin Have at least six months experience, preferably in a similar position Provide a clear, in-date enhanced DBS. Why choose Athona?
