Assistant Accountant Wigan £15.50 per hour NHS Your new company Working for the NHS in Wigan - initially on a months contract, town centre location with excellent working conditions. Your new role The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Financial Accountant in the day to day management of the Control Accounts, Charitable Fund, VAT and Capital Accounting functions of the Financial Services department. In addition the post holder will be responsible for: Completion of control account reconciliations in accordance with month end timetables. Assist in the maintenance of the Trusts fixed asset register. Production of month end reports. Monitoring of capital and charity budgets. Completion of year end working papers to support the production of the Trust's statutory accounts. Assist in the completion of agreement of balance in relation to Income and Expenditure. The working hours for this role are Monday - Friday 9.00 - 17.00. What you'll need to succeed What Skills and Experience we are looking for: Must have NHS Experience Financial accounts experience reconciliation of control accounts preparation of year end accounts capital accounting understanding of VAT regime Strong excel skills Oral finance system - is desirable What you'll get in return Immediate start available, town centre location, excellent working conditions, competitive remuneration.
