CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT Role: Customs Compliance Assistant Industry: Oil and Gas Location: Aberdeen Salary: Competitive This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customs Compliance professional that is seeking to join a prominent organisation in the Aberdeen Oil and Gas Market. Duties: Check the classification and valuation of goods Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures Ensuring compliance with shipping laws, regulations and standards Plan and co-ordinate transportation of materials and manage the timely flow of customer orders and with focus on accuracy, efficiency and time management, Assist in preparation of internal and external audits Liaise with internal departments for special order requirements and shipping information, Maintain HMRC records, both imports and exports Address order flow or shipping delays and quality control issues, Advise on necessary licenses for import of restricted or hazardous goods Record shipment / despatch data such as weight, charges and damages, Make arrangements for and issue shipping instructions and delivery of materials Requirements Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Strong experience in Import/ Export Knowledge of tariff classification, valuation and origin, Strong ERP experience This is an outstanding opportunity and would really suit someone with strong Export and Import background, with a particular emphasis on the Aberdeen Oil and Gas market.
