We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Technician to join our team in Lincoln. In this position, you will be responsible for installing components, carrying out maintenance, diagnosing faults and generating reports on ENERCON wind turbines. Working as part of a 2-person team, you will travel around our sites within the region visiting different wind farms. You will be climbing the wind turbines on a daily basis so need to be comfortable working at heights, however full training will be provided. We are looking for a proactive, motivated and resourceful team player for this challenging and exciting position. You will be expected to work from a specific location and service WEC’s. However, you will also be expected to work at any other location in the UK or abroad. You will be completing all electrical and mechanical tasks required for the maintenance and proper operation of the WEC’s in a professional and efficient manner. Flexibility, being proactive and responsive are key to the needs of the teams and ENERCON Services UK Ltd. Weekend working and on-call duty is essential to the role. Main Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations of ENERCON Services UK Ltd · Climbing Wind Turbines · Ensure completion of all electrical and mechanical maintenance schedules on time · Fault finding and reporting on electrical and mechanical equipment · Produce all necessary paper and computerised reports for supervisors and management on a weekly and monthly basis · Installation and retrofitting of key electrical and mechanical components · Carry out risk assessments and method statements when and where necessary · Ensure that there is good communication between yourself, indoor technicians and the service dispatch coordinator, and that all issue are reported promptly for rectification · Maintain the highest standards of work and courtesy when dealing with customers · Carry out necessary work with high voltage switching. Perform any duty surrounding HV at any time at the request of the Company · Adhere to all relevant health and safety requirements · Ensure there is full coverage and support for weekend working and cover. This could be in any part of the UK and on-call is expected to be worked when required by the Company · Be prepared to travel and stay for a duration of 2/3 weeks away from your private residence if necessary When and where necessary, travel to WEC sites throughout the UK, Germany and possibly elsewhere in Europe. Multi Skilled Wind Turbine Technician Skills and Requirements: · You must have a minimum level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification; ideally you will be a time served apprentice · Ideally an engineering degree or similar · Ability to fault find and report on electrical issues · Highly Health and Safety conscious · Experienced in commercial and/or industrial electrics · Experience with maintenance schedules · A full UK driving license is essential · Excellent health and fitness levels are essential for this role · Literate and numerate with good IT skills Please be aware the role will involve periods of time staying away from home however you will be provided with an overnight allowance during this time.
