Applications Support Analyst £28,494 - £31,283 Excellent Benefits Are you an enthusiastic Applications Support Analyst looking to excel within an IT team in a leading non-for-profit organisation? Your new company This exciting opportunity is with a very reputable non-for-profit organisation, who are looking to expand their IT team during a time of investment and change by appointing an Applications Support Analyst. Your new role As part of our continued improvement plan for Information Services we are seeking to invest in an Application Support Analyst who will be responsible for the application design and development discussions with clients and management to determine client needs and ensure that product adheres to established specifications and standards. Similarly, you'll be providing training and support to staff in safe and secure use of applications and must have experience working in a mixed environment such as Mac, Windows and Linux. You will be exposed to a diverse computing environment that uses large scale storage, HPC, virtualisation technologies supporting cutting-edge scientific equipment. What you'll need to succeed Participate in application design, planning and implementation with clients and management to determine client needs and ensure that product adheres to established specifications and standards within the mixed computing environment (Mac, Linux and Windows) Understanding of High Performance Computing and compute cluster hardware. Ability to coordinate repair of hardware failures.
