DevOps Engineer - Mobile Gaming

Overview

Currently working with a leading mobile gaming platform looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to join their awesome growing team in crafting the world's most engaging multiplayer experiences. You will work closely with the development and analytics team to build systems and infrastructure to support a cutting-edge online tech stack and ensuring the stability and efficiency of deployment pipelines. You will be encouraged to explore and implement new technologies and be fully supported in your professional development through tailored training opportunities. Responsibilities: Work closely with the development teams for application design, development, test and release. Work on scaling up our services to meet the needs of online games. Provide operational support for live services. Investigate and solve issues with hardware, applications and network setups. Provide out of hours support either as part of scheduled rota or critical project delivery. Work with key stakeholders to flesh out and deliver on requirements in an agile manner. Essential Skills: Excellent team player. Appreciation for technology and mobile games. Familiarity of infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet/ Terraform/ Chef / Ansible/Git). Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using automation tools. Scripting skills (preferably Bash/Python). Experience with Containerisation using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Desired: Experience with Game Development. Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments. Experience in managing network stacks and firewalls. Degree qualified in Computer Science or similar, or with excellent experience.
