Overview
Mechanical Estimator / Contracts Manager Your new company This well-established local business has been trading for over 30 years. They run a small team with an office base in North Bristol. They have a strong client portfolio and an annual turnover around £1m. They specialise in the supply and installation of thermal and acoustic insulation to both pipework and ventilation ductwork in commercial and industrial buildings. Your new role This is a senior position within the business with a real opportunity for Directorship down the line. Your primary role will be estimating but being able to wear other hats and enjoying multi-tasking would be an advantage as elements of contracts management, surveying and buying can be incorporated into the role. What you'll need to succeed You will need a sound knowledge of mechanical services drawings and be able to quantify material requirements from drawings and then produce priced quotations from this information. Experience is more important than academic qualifications. You will need to be well-organised and confident in dealing with clients and suppliers with the ability to multi-task. Experience of labour management, material ordering, site surveys, programming, risk assessments, stock control etc would be an advantage.
