Architectural Technician
Overview
An interesting opportunity has become available for a technically minded individual, be it technician or technical Architect, to work for close-knit practice in the Winchester area. This position is either a freelance or permanent role, rate circa £18/hr Ltd and salary circa £35,000 pa depending on experience. For this position you'll need at least 5 years industry experience having worked within the UK. In terms of day to day activities this position is very focused on the latter RIBA stages, you'll be putting together detailing packages and construction drawings as well tender packages. Although this will largely be an office based position you may sometimes be requires to go on site so experience dealing with clients and contractors would be ideal. Ultimately a high level of communication ability is needed due to the coordination required between various teams. The software in use is Microstation and previous knowledge and experience would be ideal however don;t let this deter you if your Microstation ability is limited/non existent, the company provide training as long as you're willing to adapt to a different software. The company in question largely focus on the residential sector ranging from high-end one-off properties through to medium-large scale developments. On top of this you may be getting involved within some smaller scale commercial and education schemes in the Hampshire area. As stated above this could be an appropriate opportunity for either a permanent or freelance candidate and given the company's increase in workload this is certainly an opportunity for the long haul.
