Overview
My client, a global Fintech company that specialises in Trade Finance Technology are currently recruiting for a Cloud Engineer to join their growing Technical Support Team to provide techincal set up and ongoing maintenance of the Openshift platform hosted on a multi-cloud environment. The successful applicant will be an Cloud Engineer who has come from a Linux Engineering background and is also able to provide support if necessary. You will ideally have experience across multiple Cloud technologies, however Azure or AWS is acceptable. Responsibilities: As a member of our Technical Support team - you may interact with users via Support tickets, Chat, e Mail or Phone. Set up and ongoing maintenance of OpenShift based platform on Azure, AWS, GCP and on-premise environments Support issues related to OpenShift Container Platform. Support issues related to VMs that may cause outage or performances lag. Develop and monitor cost reports for the analysis to control AWS/Azure/GCP Billing. Develop Alerts to different infra teams from AWS/Azure/GCP to attend and resolve all VM capacity/uptime related issues proactively. Ensure that Service Level Agreements are met at all times Exhibit continuous improvement on technical knowledge and problem resolution skills and strive for excellence Experience: Experience with RedHat OpenShift Container Platform on Azure and AWS. Experience in performance engineering and monitoring using tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Experience with programming languages - Python, Java. Experience with TCP/IP network and various fundamental network services Experience with web-based applications and HTTP Experience in setting up EC2, SNS, Database Instances, securing of VPC, implementation of Security Groups, Identity and Access Management, Backups, Restore and Disaster Recovery Experience in Incident, Change and Problem management process in an large scale operations Strong experience with CI/CD automation using Jenkins. Skills: Working knowledge and experience of RedHat OpenShift, Azure and AWS Knowledge of GCP, VMware and Hyper-V are nice to haves. Basic understanding of Github, Jenkins and Docker Containers. Knowledge in enterprise monitoring tools would be an advantageous skill Linux administration and automation Scripting experience Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud Platform administration experience Good understanding of DevOps principles (CI/CD,release automation) This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89953329
