Overview

System Administrator required by innovative, revolutionary technology business in the heart of Cambridge. You will work as part of the Infrastructure support team to provide break/fix and refinements to existing solutions, whilst also contributing to technology roadmaps and working on system enhancements . Being the teams' System Administrator , you will strengthen current IT practices and maintain a culture of sharing and collaboration. You will also; Deploy, Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the LINUX infrastructure, WIFI, LAN and firewalls. Proactively communicate the status, plan of action(s), and resolution(s) of issues. Report on the health of IT services. Contribute to root cause analysis activities. Research products & service to help define service roadmaps and contribute to the IT enhancement backlog. Required Experience: Good understanding of LINUX server administration (NIS, DHCP, DNS, Email, X windows). Experience of scripting / automation languages. LAN & WAN implementations skills, ideally design experience. Administration of Cisco switch infrastructure. Access control & Threat mitigation. Wireless infrastructure Desirable Experience: Administration of Cisco IP Telephony. Management for CheckPoint firewall technologies. Supporting NetApp storage (NAS / SAN). Backup solutions BackupExec / Veeam / NetVault.
