Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer required for a manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in Bradford. Due to continual growth they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to produce and create detailed layouts and drawings, for their customer's specifications. The successful engineer will have previous experience within a CAD Software role and worked within motor drive controls, as well as, 2D/3D drawing/printing. Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview Producing layouts and detailed drawings Working to customer specifications, and developing solutions that fit with customer requirements. Working to all relevant health & safety standards and legislation. Producing, compiling and completing any relevant documentation (machine manuals, technical aspects of sales bids, etc.). Working with existing archive of 150 years of drawings to supply spare parts to customers worldwide Dealing directly with customers, suppliers and colleagues to progress projects and solve problems. Occasional travel (domestic and international) to conduct site visits and accompany sales calls. Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements More than 2 years' experience in a similar role. Automation experience preferred. Experience with applying geared motors to existing machinery is essential A relevant undergraduate degree is preferred, but not essential. Must be based within a commutable distance of Bradford Full UK Driving License High proficiency with CAD Software Good communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
