Financial Services Regulations Solicitor REF: NG31 Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Location: Cheadle Hulme Job Type: Full Time Job Section: Private Practice Experience: PQE 5 Contact: Nathan Green Multi specialist Law Firm in Cheadle Hulme seeks a Financial Services Regulations Solicitor. Skills/Qualifications: • Proven legal experience as a qualified Solicitor with minimum 5yrs PQE. • In house or private practice experienced gained at a financial institution (Desirable) • Strong interpersonal skills • Solid understanding of financial services including professional negligence, consumer credit and contract • Detailed understanding of the applicable regulatory rules ie MCOB (under FCA AND FSA) and the governing statutory basis for pursuing claims under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) • Knowledge of the Dispute Resolution (DISP) Rules and processes as well as experience of submitting complaints to the Financial Ombudsman • Awareness of current trends and developments in the Financial mis-selling sector (Essential) • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities (Essential) • Able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment (Essential) • Meticulous attention to detail (Essential) • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines (Essential) • Ability to work within a team and manage a team (Essential) • Ability to present complex legal arguments in a coherent and concise manner • Ability to present policy and strategic plans to the board and external third parties such as case funders and ATE companies. • Experience in analysing documents and volumes of complex documentation to extract relevant information.
