Overview
Interim Financial Controller Ignata Finance are recruiting an Interim Financial Controller on a 8-12 month fixed term contract basis for a national business with offices in West Sussex. You will be responsible for the overall finance function, making sure the business is compliant with statutory regulations, and helping to maintain best practice. There is the opportunity for this to go permanent for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Management of financial accounting processes, ensure compliance with legislation and best practice Lead the production of the annual statutory accounts Management of the audit process and relationship Management of the balance sheet including a detailed review and a monthly reconciliation of key areas Treasury management – review and maintenance of cash position and producing cash flow forecasts as required Review finance policies and procedures that are due to review including the development of new processes where needed Oversee all aspects of the purchase and sales ledger as well as monthly reconciliation of control accounts and production of relevant reports Check payments to suppliers, supervise posting to Cash Books and reconciliations of bank accounts Oversee and analyse intercompany accounts and Fixed Assets register Management and development of direct and indirect reports within the Finance team Partake in all system and process design assignments that relate to Finance systems Skills and experience required: Qualified Accountant A strong ability to review systems and processes and make recommendations for change Direct experience of the production of year end accounts and managing an audit process Advanced excel skills Significant line management experience Location: Haywards Heath Fixed term contract: £55-65k pro rata
