Newcross Healthcare is seeking dedicated and motivated Care Assistants to care for two brothers living with complex care needs in their own home within the Horfield/Southmead area of Bristol on Fridays. Your duties will vary, including anything from assisting with their food and drink, following care plans and getting them involved in social activities. You'll work as part of a small team in the homes of our clients. It is essential that candidates have worked with PEG and are comfortable completing MAR charts and records. Successful candidates will be providing care on Fridays from 16:45 to 20:45 after school however, options will be available to work during the school holidays. The service users Our service users are two brothers that have different complex care needs but both share a diagnosis of Hunter syndrome. You will provide them with support completing a variety of activities including going to the park, bowling, baking at home and ensure that boundaries are set to effectively manage all of their different behaviours. About you With experience of caring professionally or for a loved one under your belt, and with a valid certificate in Moving and Handling, and the right to live and work in the UK. We also expect you to demonstrate our core values of positivity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, understanding, kindness, and calmness on every shift. Passion and determination to bring comfort and joy to our service users is a must. Access to your own vehicle would be beneficial, but is not a requirement.
