Overview

Our Client based in Whiteley Village near Walton-on-Thames, are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their team. As part of the IT Team, the IT Systems Administrator will have responsibility for the day to day running of the Trust's IT systems and will support the IT Manager in matters of IT Strategy. They will supervise any appointed junior members of the IT Team and be the first point of contact with the Trust's outsourced 1st line IT support service. The IT Systems Administrator will also be responsible for providing IT support and training to the Trust and will be required to take the lead on several key IT projects. The IT Team is currently following an IT strategy aligned with the Trust's vision and business plan. From this, a range of IT projects are planned in the four key areas of Business Support Services, Care Management, Community Support Networking and Assistive Technology. Your main responsibilities and an IT Systems Administrator will be to: Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support for desktop services provided to the end users Respond to incidents, analysing them to identify the root cause and taking appropriate action Identification of problems and knowledge transfer to end users through support and documentation Ensuring that IT systems are updated in accordance with the Trust's security policies User and group administration through Active Directory and Office 365 Evaluating and implementing new technology and system enhancements Administration of O365 products including SharePoint, Exchange, Teams and other Office 365 products Purchasing equipment, maintaining asset lists and equipment audits Preparing and issuing IT and telephony equipment to end users Inducting new starters (onboarding) and closing accounts for leavers (offboarding) Ensuring IT policies and procedures are documented and up to date Ensuring that all back-office systems such as servers, firewalls and other devices are kept up to date with the latest firmware and security/maintenance updates Ensuring that desktop systems are patched with the latest security/maintenance updates Carrying out data security activities and ensuring key data is backed up and restorable Supporting the users of the Trust's care management systems Implementing the Trust's Disaster Recovery Plan Supporting the IT Manager in the implementation of the IT Strategy Generating KPIs for the Leadership Team You will be required to have the following skills and experience: Ability to use and support Microsoft products, Specifically: Windows Office 365 Office desktop applications Exchange (premises and Cloud) Sharepoint (intranet) Teams/Skype for Business Azure AD Server Administration Windows Server 2008 / 2012 /2016 Active Directory management (hybrid configuration) Group Policy management VPN and Remote Access Systems (RAS) SQL Server (database management - backup, copy & restore) SSL Secure Certificate management Network Administration Network infrastructure (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, APs, UPS, etc.) Network configuration (VLAN's, WiFi, Telephony, Entry Systems, etc.) Printer Management Mobile Device Management (Meraki) Support for the rollout of new technologies and systems Development of policies and procedures to improve working processes Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong motivational and organisational skills At least 4 years experience of working in an IT Support environment Experience of providing a high level of Customer service to user Demonstrable experience of working with third party providers Experience of working within the not-for-profit sector (desirable Good verbal and written communication skills If you have the relevant skills and knowledge please apply now attaching your CV
