Overview

THE COMPANY: Brewster Partners are working in exclusive partnership with a Rotherham based manufacturing business as they look to recruit an Operations Director into the business. The role will report into the Managing Director and involve managing a team of around 60 people. THE JOB: Forming part of the senior management team, you will manage multiple departments including production and health and safety and you'll have a keen understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. You'll need to be a really strong people manager, be used to implementing KPI's, and have had strong experience with supply chain too (either as part of your operational role or as a stand alone position). The duties and responsibilities of this role will include: Management of the whole production delivery process from initial planning stage through to successful delivery of the product to the client Budget management for the site Ensuring the production team have a strong and achievable strategy and ensuring this is carried out Ensuring procurement and use of materials is cost effective Overall responsibility of meeting health and safety targets for the site THE PERSON: The business are looking for a candidate with strong experience in a senior operations or production role within the manufacturing industry with excellent people management skills. Alongside your excellent people management skills, you'll need to have experience of supply chain and implementing KPI's. Ideally degree educated in a related engineering discipline, you will also have lean/6 sigma qualifications and training. You'll also need to have a good knowledge of QHSE systems such as ISO 9000/14001.
