Supporting our regional operations, you'll play a key role in ensuring our business runs smoothly and efficiently. Your day-to-day will involve organisational work, data processing, analysis, proposal completion and ensuring data is secure. Naturally, you'll need an eye for detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. And that means there's plenty to do in our Regional Administration team. We are now looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join our existing team at our Regional Head Office in Bolton. Please note this is a fixed term contract. Responsibilities will include: • Maintain all payroll data on the payroll system, Resource Link, including starters, leavers, changes of personal and salary data • Calculate and input salary adjustments, hours, holiday and sickness to be paid and checks bonus payments • Maintain payroll files with the data required with GDPR restrictions • Provide payroll information to other departments on a monthly and annual basis • Raises tax and NI payments • Calculates SSP, SMP, SPP and ShPP • Salary sacrifices and NMW/NLW • Pension administration and regulations i.e. % for workplace pension • Manual calculation of payslips i.e. gross to net • Payroll reconciliation at month end • Attachment of Earnings Orders/Deduction of Earnings Order • Right to Work checks Role Requirements: • Minimum 5 A-C GCSE’s including Maths and English (or equivalent) • Proven experience in a Payroll position • Monthly Payroll processing • Proficient in Excel and Word Desirable: • CIPP Payroll Technician or CIPP Foundation Degree • Payroll Certificate • Knowledge/experience of ResourceLink • Retail experience You will utilise your initiative and competence at all times to maintain high standards. Holidays are 25 days Bank Holidays
