Overview
Avanti Recruitment have partnered with a high growth start-up in Hampshire and are now looking for an experienced Computer Vision Engineer to join their team working on surveillance systems covering anything from search and rescue, locating oil spills, detecting illegal fishing activity and everything in between. (Please note, though there are some security applications for these systems, all UAV’s are non-weaponised) You’ll be developing advanced software for UAV’s including object detection, tracking, classification and analysis software for their brand new products. We’re looking for someone with a computer vision background to join their existing CV & ML team. Their main language tends to be C++ - but a bit of Python experience would be handy - and you’ll ideally have experience developing computer vision algorithms in C++, Python or Matlab. This is a true R&D role you’ll be involved in their vision based projects from conception and prototype right through to delivery. From time to time you’ll even make it out of the office and get involved in live operations Day to day, you’ll be researching and developing computer vision algorithms for deployment in their product lines, get involved in product innovation, coming up with ideas, solutions, prototypes and proof of concepts. You’ll be an ambitious Engineer and problem solver who wants the career progression they can offer and be a proactive type that, in time, will be comfortable leading from the front.
