Overview
Avanti Recruitment have partnered with a high growth start-up in Hampshire and are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join their team working on surveillance systems covering anything from search and rescue, locating oil spills, detecting illegal fishing activity and everything in between. The company design and build UAVs/drafts than fly and this team focuses on taking, recording and using sensor data. The salary for this role is £50k Key skills: C# (This is the only "must have") Nice to have: Web services GIS An enthusiasm for autonomous systems, data science and artificial intelligence Experience in either a professional software, industrial R&D or academic research environment Experience in mentoring or overseeing others Desirable Experience developing autonomous systems Knowledge of planning and autonomous decision making algorithms Knowledge of AI or data science algorithms Understanding of aerospace systems and a grasp of physics principles Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Knowledge of C#, C++, Python or Matlab GUI software development using WinForms or WPF or similar Web development, frontend or backend Web services, databases, real-time high-throughput messaging frameworks Experience in Agile and traditional development lifecycles, CI and supporting deployed software If you’re a Software Engineer looking for a varied development role in a small company where you’ll gain exposure to many different areas of a business whilst getting stacks of coaching and training apply now.
