Overview

Charity Talent are recruiting for a Health Charity based in the City of London, they are recruiting for a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent contract to start asap. As the Business Development Manager you will develop proposals and pitches to major donors, corporate trusts, family trusts and strategic trusts and government funding that align with their core objectives. You will be responsible for leading meetings with donors and prospects, supported by senior stakeholders as appropriate. As the Business Development Manager you will develop a pipeline of new business opportunities. You will develop, influence and lead engagement plans to reach senior decision makers at the above funders, utilising senior volunteers where appropriate. You will be responsible for a portfolio of fundraising assets based on prospect mapping and matching, and identify fundraising priorities for the wider team to approach funders in a systematic and coordinated way. Experience: Experience of trust, major donor and/or corporate fundraising, with experience generating six figure donations from a range of funders Effectively managed a portfolio of high value donors, from income generation to grant management Strong bid and case for support writing skills Experience developing high value tools/assets that can be deployed by a wider team Understanding of high value fundraising mechanisms, funding cycles and giving trends
