PASTRY COMMIS – NOBU An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of London’s most prestigious and fashionable restaurants.We are currently recruiting for a Pastry Commis Chef to join the Nobu team. The purpose of a Pastry Commis is to ensure guests satisfaction by preparing food items in the Pastry kitchen, providing guests with the highest quality of food product that consistently and effectively reflects Nobu Standards. Duties & Responsibilities · Ensuring that the Pastry section is correctly set in order to deliver a smooth service. · Preparing pastry items in designated station, ensuring the right quantity and full adherence to Nobu recipes and standards in food quality · Ensuring the highest standards of production · Minimizing pastry kitchen waste by properly storing unused foods, · Guaranteeing safety, hygiene and sanitation practices are present at all times, safe storing of raw materials, maintaining cleanliness of all areas, etc., · Receiving items and ensuring proper storage until needed, · Assuring the adherence to Health and Safety guidelines in terms of pastry food quality, preparation recipes, presentation at all times, · Maintaining station’s equipment in safe working condition.
