Overview
3rd Line Engineer Contract £300 per day Your new company You will be working for a leading organisation in Rickmansworth, as a 3rd line engineer, in the IT Infrastructure operations team. Your new role You will be accountable for; providing infrastructure support including - planning, installation, on-going management, monitoring, troubleshooting and decommissioning for hosting, storage, backups, application virtualisation and data classifications and discovery platforms. Providing high levels of service to users, providing effective communication Manage major incidents Manage change requests What you'll need to succeed In order to be a success in this role you will need; Working knowledge of the following technologies - Windows ( 2008R2 / 2012R2 / 2016 ), VMware ( ESXi 5.5 / 6.0 /SRM), compute (Cisco UCS), Storage (Netapp/Dell EMC), Backup (Netapp SnapMirror, SnapVault), Archive manager, application virtualization (Citrix Xenap ) platforms. An excellent understanding of security principles, including vulnerability scanning and remediation Experience in configuring and supporting File & Data services (NTFS, Share permissions & archive data). Anti-Virus (F-secure), BitLocker, Remote Access (Citrix/Secure Envoy). Full UK driving licence and flexible approach to working hours What you'll get in return In return you'll receive a rate of £300 per day, an opportunity to work for a leading employer and the potential to extend beyond initial contract length.
