Overview
We are pleased to be working on behalf of one of the UK’s leading lending institutions who are seeking to recruit a Senior Loans Underwriter due to increasing demand in our clients products and continued growth of the organisation. Candidates will be responsible for underwriting bridging and development loan applications within personal mandate and company lending criteria. You will assess the risk of each application, ensuring the loan is suitable. You will assess credit reports and other documentation relating to the loan including verification of employment and valuation reports. Candidates need to come from an underwriting background, ideally with exposure to bridging or development finance, although our client will consider other lending backgrounds. You will have the ability to adopt a pragmatic approach to underwriting and have strong organisational, communication and analytical skills.
