IT Engineer

Our client who is a services provider is expanding due to growth. They are looking to recruit an additional IT Engineer for their Technical team based in Buxton, paying up to £20,000 plus shift allowance. They provide client services across the retail and hospitality sectors. You'll join a small support team in the field, working to support clients with hardware and software issues. This role will suit a support engineer who has been working in a 1st or 2nd Line Support role and is looking for an opportunity to progress within a well-established organisation. Responsibilities include: Working in the field supporting clients to implement new systems and support existing setups Supporting client systems Identify the cause of recurring problems and could educate clients how to troubleshoot to reduce the amount of tickets. Service Desk Support and management Traveling to different sites when needed on a rota basis including weekends Taking lead on new projects Your skills: Great Problem Solver Experience supporting systems Windows Sever (hardware) Professional phone manner Windows operating system Keeping within SLA's Must: Due to the nature of the role you must have a full clean driving licence Working hours are a shift system based on a 37.5 hour week averaged over a 5 week rota. The shifts do include 1 in every 4 weeks at the weekend.
