Data Scientist £60,000 Salary Benefits Brighton, Hove OVERVIEW Major UK Financial Services company are looking to build out their in-house Data Science team in Brighton They need a Data Scientist with STEM academic background and preferably some commercial experience to join them Your role as a Data Scientist will include but not be limited to: Use machine learning, data mining and statistical techniques to create new scalable solutions for business problems. Develop new and existing products, by providing data analysis expertise and any additional support as required. Identifying existing and new data sources with potential predictive power for underwriting, claims and behavioural modelling. Report and present key insights back to business stakeholders. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE University Degree in STEM subject Desire to learn with a can-do attitude. Passion for decision science, machine learning and optimisation. You will be a life learner, always looking to research, explore and develop new skills and knowledge. Analytics, modelling, or software development experience. Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
