Building Services Engineer (Electrical /Qualifying Supervisor)

We are looking for an experienced Building Services Engineer (Electrical /Qualifying Supervisor) to work on a variety of contracts for our Peterborough based client. This is a hands on role working across the country but will initially based in the Cambridge area working on mainly commercial projects. Reporting to the Department Managers the successful engineer will take on the role of electrician and NICEIC qualifying supervisor for electrical projects whilst supporting the electrical department with their ongoing works and variety of projects. Your jobs will be sent through via a smart device to enable completion of reports. Customer service is of paramount importance and we therefore require excellent communication skills as you will be required to contact customers regarding appointments. Due to the nature of our varied projects, works can be nationwide and require flexible working hours. Project sizes will vary from large projects working within a team or smaller projects with pairs or solo working. These projects will include retail, social housing, schools, colleges, universities prisons, police stations, care homes, undertaking breakdowns and installation works. An experienced, reliable, team player will be a welcome addition to our team. The successful candidate must be willing to travel on a daily basis as required for the needs of the business, participation in an Emergency Call Out service is essential as is proven experience within a commercial, domestic and industrial environment. We undertake contracts and projects for varied companies that require our employees to undertake clearances along with an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service clearance. This is a full time position (39 hours per week) and hours of work will be Monday – Thursday 07:45hrs to 16:30hrs and Friday 07:45hrs to 15:30hrs. These hours are on site start and finish times. This will also involve daily travel and possible working away from time to time as deemed necessary for the needs of the business. Applicants will need to have: •Proven experience of working as a Qualifying Supervisor •NVQ Level 3 in Electrical including AM2 •18th Edition •Experience of working within Domestic, Commercial and Industrial environments •Competent IT skills •Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance •Full current UK driving licence with a minimum 6 months driving experience and live within an hour of Peterborough for attending the head office.
