Overview
Job Title:Servicing & Installation Engineer Overall Job Purpose: To work as an Installation/Service Engineer for a well-established Mechanical Engineering Firm. You will be expected to travel to customer sites throughout the UK and complete various Mechanical Installations and Repair tasks. Responsible to:Project Manager Main Duties and Responsibilities: Attending sites throughout the UK to carry out installations and servicing of various equipment. Basic Trouble Shooting and Fault Finding (where required) Service, Maintain, Refurbish and Repair of customer’s equipment. Commission and Installation of new equipment Use of Hand/Power tools Carry out scheduled maintenance and complete various preventative maintenance. Steel erection and building of equipment support structures Prepare and submit job sheets. Personal Qualities and Qualifications Personal Specifications: Previous experience working as an Installation/Service Engineer or similar role Be self-motivated with the ability to make decisions and work alone at times Be happy to work away from home when required, all week and home and weekends Comfortable working at heights Knowledge of mechanical engineering Good Knowledge of Health & Safety Qualifications and Certification: Full driving licence In the absence of formal qualifications, relevant previous experience will be considered Additional Information Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-13:00 (30mins Lunch) Location: Honiton Base – Working throughout the UK Remuneration: Dependant on experience Probation: At manager’s discretion Training & Development: Promotional prospects and additional training in long term for successful candidates.
