Overview

The Role Our prestigious clients is looking for a Senior Python Developer to be apart of the development into the next generation of the Analytical Platform, which integrates a large number of open source components and runs on a Kubernetes platform. W orking across the full spectrum of technologies that makes up the platform, from a Django app through to the infrastructure, including authentication, networking and security. The successful candidate will be challenged to learn quickly, promote best development practises and help solve complex problems. You’ll be working in a multi-disciplinary team environment, you will often work with data scientists, as it is essential to have some exposure to common data tools and techniques. Successful candidates must have excellent working knowledge of Python, AWS, Kubernetes and a wide range of managed services and open source components. And will be willing to learn other programming languages, tools and techniques as required. Essential Skills and Knowledge Design, create and improve new and existing products, platforms and transactions across the organisation. Have strong skills in front end or back end web developer (or both) and be ready to quickly get to work within a multi-disciplinary team of developers, designers, editors, and analysts focussed on one or more products or projects. Build web and mobile products to serve a variety of users' needs. Implement APIs for internal and external use. Build up a useful, robust automated test suite to support a Continuous Deployment environment. Share knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers. Take part in 2nd-line support of applications and platforms. Need to have evidence of recent experience developing in PYTHON, even though it is usually listed as a skill Need to have extensive prior experience coding in PYTHON PYTHON Experience as a Primary - 3 years experience JAVA/JAVE SCRIPT is secondary skill Interviews will be taking place this week.
