Overview
Support Worker Service/Location: Aspens - Pembury, Kent, TN2 4QU We are looking for support workers who want to make a real positive difference with the people that they support We support 4 men aged between 30-50 years with Autism, learning disabilities and limited verbal communication. Our service users are great fun unique individuals with lots of potential, however they also sometimes display behaviours that challenge. No two days are the same here in this fun lively environment working with a dynamic team. We encourage new ideas and activities as the service users love to be active and currently go horse riding, swimming, cinema, drives, days out etc. Our support workers are expected to help with all of the day to day running of the house including; going on days out with service users, some personal care, completing care notes, cleaning, taking people to appointments, assisting people to day services, cooking, going on service user holidays and anything else to help improve the lives of the service users. Driving Licence and Access to Transport Willingness to Learn Positive 'can-do' Attitude Friendly, Positive, Calm and Helpful Good problem solving skills Good Sense of Humour Team worker Flexible and Trustworthy Patient and Caring Attitude Good at listening Willing to learn The ideal support worker should be able to work as part of a team, be confident, caring, able to assist with recording finances, medication & writing and recording daily information.
