Overview

We are seeking a highly-skilled, motivated and experienced Children’s Home Deputy Manager. The successful candidate will support the aims and objectives of the setting and assist the Manager in the organisation of a high quality establishment for children and young people. The aim’s of the home are to ensure a safe, homely and therapeutic environment for vulnerable young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Children’s Home Deputy Manager Duties and Responsibilities:  To provide reflective supervision to senior residential staff and residential workers  To assist with the development and implementation of systems to monitor and record progress of young people  To be responsible for the Health and Safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensuring staff compliance and awareness  To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times  To ensure the Setting maintains a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds  To ensure confidentiality of information received  To assist with staff development and training  Liaise with persons with PR, Local Authorities and other professionals  To attend weekly staff meetings and training sessions outside working hours  To deputise for the manager in their absence  To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace  Provide out of hours on call support for the company on a rota basis Children’s Home Deputy Manager Minimum Requirements:  Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent  Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or willingness to work towards  At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential home, preferably in a supervisory role  Experience of managing and leading a team  Experience in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties  A good understanding of Ofsted regulations Children’s Home Deputy Manager Benefits:  Member of Perk box, upon competition of probation  28 days Holiday (Inc Bank Holidays), additional holiday for loyalty to the company  Pension Scheme  40 hours a week, Monday to Sunday on a rolling rota including On call duties  £30 per sleep in Closing date: ASAP Interview: ASAP Contact: Neha at Job Paths 4 U Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
