Overview
We are seeking a highly-skilled, motivated and experienced Children’s Home Deputy Manager. The successful candidate will support the aims and objectives of the setting and assist the Manager in the organisation of a high quality establishment for children and young people. The aim’s of the home are to ensure a safe, homely and therapeutic environment for vulnerable young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Children’s Home Deputy Manager Duties and Responsibilities: To provide reflective supervision to senior residential staff and residential workers To assist with the development and implementation of systems to monitor and record progress of young people To be responsible for the Health and Safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensuring staff compliance and awareness To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times To ensure the Setting maintainsa high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds To ensure confidentiality of information received To assist with staff development and training Liaise with persons with PR, Local Authorities and other professionals To attend weekly staff meetings and training sessions outside working hours To deputise for the manager in their absence To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace Provide out of hours on call support for the company on a rota basis Children’s Home Deputy Manager Minimum Requirements: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or willingness to work towards At least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential home, preferably in a supervisory role Experience of managing and leading a team Experience in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties A good understanding of Ofsted regulations Children’s Home Deputy Manager Benefits: Member of Perk box, upon competition of probation 28 days Holiday (Inc Bank Holidays), additional holiday for loyalty to the company Pension Scheme 40 hours a week, Monday to Sunday on a rolling rota including On call duties £30 per sleep in Closing date: Wednesday 18th March 2020 Interview: ASAP Contact: Neha at Job Paths 4 U Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
