2nd / 3rd Line IT Support Engineer (Contract) • SC / DV Clearance • Windows Server 12/16/19, AD, Virtualisation, Networks, ITIL • £250 - £400 pd (Flexible DOE) • 12 month sign up • Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire) A leading name in Defence and Military Services are recruiting for IT Support Engineers to join an expanding team. This role will see you implementing and supporting cutting edge solutions used within the Military sector. Your day will be varied and could see you dealing with a range of issues and working across the full IT Engineering lifecycle from requirements gathering, through to build and support of live operations. Please note we are only able to consider candidates holding current UK Security Clearance. Ideal candidates will hold active DV clearance. This role will be varied and exciting, it will see you supporting servers (both physical and virtual), workstations (both physical and virtual), storage and networks (both physical and virtual). You will be tasked with the management of security through Active Directory policies, security software and system operations. You will be asked to identify situations requiring urgent attention, looking to either resolve the issue yourself or escalate to the appropriate level. Role Requirements Strong hands on skills with Windows Server Proven experience supporting physical and virtual servers Active Directory Strong experience in system administration Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VMware Virtualisation Experience TCP/IP Experience in an ITIL Environment Current SC Clearance Desirable DV Clearance Knowledge of DevOps Ansible Cisco Certifications Microsoft Certifications Experience with UK Government Security environments This is an urgent contract with the interview and onboarding process being conducted remotely.
