Overview

Senior Python/C# Data Engineer, Hedge Fund My client are a leading hedge fund that are headquartered in London. They are 300 people in total and manage nearly £40 billion in assets and are known to be at the very forefront of their market in terms of technology and the people they hire. They have an opportunity in their data engineering team for a bright and enthusiastic candidate with strong programming in either C# or Python and a real passion for working with large datasets and on new technologies. The team are responsible for building data pipelines, cleaning, streaming and presenting the data to Quants to make key investment decisions. You will also get the chance to work on web scraping, data mining and with a number of cutting edge technologies. Requirements Strong programming in either C# or Python Experience working with large and complex data sets Degree in Computer Science or IT Studies Strong knowledge of databases (SQL Server, NoSQL) Experience with opensource data tools such as; Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redshift, Snowflake, Spark etc. If you feel you meet these requirements and would like to find out more about this role please send a copy of your CV or call on 0207 997 1168 for more information.
